I assure you there has been no mistake in picking the exact branch name. Our inclusivity consultant did very good work and extensively documented the process of picking this name. Unfortunately this documentation is covered by our NDAs so I am unable to share any specifics in this forum.

But to address your allegations:

This was not done as a response to any specific persons, but to foster an inclusive atmosphere, and whatever rumors might be circulating about specific people with any agendas being the cause of this is blatantly false. All this has been probed and settled, nothing illegal, no wrongdoing was found.
