How to correctly use Tabby's split feature?

I encountered a few issues:
First, splitting can only be used within the same configuration. I wanted to split the serial port on the left and SSH on the right, but it didn't work.
Second, I couldn't find how to close the split panes; I could only close the entire tab.

The first issue has been resolved. It can be addressed by simply dragging the tab to the desired location.
The second issue is currently manageable as well. A feasible approach is to drag the item to the tab first and then close the corresponding tab.

No, the pane itself.

If you have right-click set to something other than context menu, you can use the close-pane keyboard shortcut instead
