About

This is a Home Assistant integration (HACS) to integrate SurePetCare cloud devices into Home Assistant. The integration provides services and sensors for all devices. This is an alternative integration to the core integration with an extended amount of sensors that is not available in the core integration.

A sample of the extra features include entities to:

  • Pet:
    • Select to add/remove devices
    • Last activity from flaps,feeder or fountains
    • Current position between one or more flaps
    • Consumption of feeder or fountains (wiki provide setup for total consumption)
    • Number of assigned devices
    • Switch to set pet as indoor only
  • Feeder
    • Select to change bowl type
    • Entity to change tare of each bowl
    • Lid closing speed
  • General
    • Polling speed of each device

Installation

This integration requires the HACS add-on.

Open your Home Assistant instance and open a repository inside the Home Assistant Community Store.

What does this integration do?

  • Adds sensors and binary sensors for each supported device (e.g., door status, battery, feeding events, water level, connectivity)
  • Custom name for position indoor/outdoor.
  • Keep track of number of devices connected to a pet
  • Allow Service updates for tags, device control and pet indoor/outdoor per pet

Issues

If you encounter problems with the integration:

  1. Enable debug logging: Go to Settings → Devices & Services → SurePetCare → Enable debug logging
  2. Reproduce the issue: Perform the action that causes the problem
  3. Download diagnostics: Go to Settings → Devices & Services → SurePetCare → Disable debug logging
  4. Create an issue: Open a GitHub issue and attach the diagnostics file

For urgent issues, check the Home Assistant logs at Settings → System → Logs.
