Flight controller did not init. Check USB connection

I can get to the control dash for my DJI Mini 2 but nothing displays and I receive the error as in the title. The drone works in DJI Fly, and when connecting in FreeTAK UAS it says registration succeeded and UAS connected.

Just a realization, does this plugin depend on Google Play Services?

This isn't a plugin its a standalone App. It should have no dependencies on Google Play Services AFAIK.

I tested it today on a phone with Google services and it worked. Does the DJI SDK get called externally? Maybe it has the dependency? I'm not sure which piece is failing without Google services. For reference I am using MicroG so many services are enabled but not all.
