Description of the issue

Hi - first thank you for this add on ! got it up and running today easily - my issue is that the ha button will turn the ps5 on from rest mode no problem.....but toggling the switch off produces no effect, the ps5 won't return to rest mode. any help would be great!

yes, and sometimes Off command works for me, so I don't see any regularity.
a few questions pls that can help me to test it.

1. If i just turn on and then like 15 seconds after i turn off (I don't even select account on ps5 and I don't press button on gamepad to connect it), should it work for such cases?
2. Looks like turn off features works only if i select accout, then I turn of from HA and then it doesn't work, then I restart your addon and then turn off feeature works... do you have any idea why?

I think I suffer from the same issue,
I've just setup the addon today So maybe I did something wrong.

I also enabled the settings in "Set up your PS5 console" of the PS manual.

[edit:] I missed the last step of the setup
Use the web-ui to authenticate with each PlayStation device.
this fixes the issues I have.

I probably was to early saying everyting was working,
I try to turn off my PS5 now, as this was turned on by the controller but no TV is connected and I get this

This is a known limitation of the remote play protocol.

The PS5 can only be turned off when:

• not on the user select screen after being turned on with a controller/tv bootup etc.
• on the user select screen after about 15 sec. when turned on by the remote play protocol (i.e. this application)

This is not something that can be fixed. This is not a bug. I'll put a similar writeup in the faq as this question has been raised and answered multiple times on multiple channels.

I was afraid it would be a limitation, but because of the error I decided to mention is anyway.
Is there a possibility to instead of this error a warning is shown like "Unable to Turn of the device because no user is selected"?
or something?
I know I might be asking for the impossible, but it might save some people from finding a solution.

Unfortunately there's not enough information to make that call, since it's just telling the system "unknown error" as that can basically mean anything.

I would argue against making suggestions in these logs, without specific errors, as to what is going wrong as that might just add more confusion.
