I downloaded the mobile update of the Sky Reborn mod to test it in the desktop version of fnf and when I open the game I get a warning saying “Save data failure”. At first I thought I had only lost the progress of the mod but then I realized that I also lost the progress of all the mods I had downloaded and the songs of the base game. I re-downloaded the game from Itch.Io and when I opened the game nothing changed. I really doubt I have a backup of with which I can restore at least a part of my progress, I hope I can get help and hopefully the solution. Good afternoon, day or night.

Can you check your C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\FunkinCrew directory and see if there's a file named Funkin2.sol or Funkin1000.sol?
Your original save could be either of these files after the game fails to load it.

Back up any file you find in the FunkinCrew folder and try renaming different files to Funkin1.sol
You should find your save eventually!

Sorry if I'm being a bit annoying with the problem, I already checked the FunkinCrew folder and found the Funkin2.sol file and also Funkin1.sol, I uploaded these two files to Drive to have the backup and renamed the Funkin2.sol file as you said and moved the original Funkin.1 from the folder to the desktop so it doesn't interfere and it didn't work.

I tried leaving the original Funkin1.sol and moved Funkin2.sol to the recycle garbage can, renamed Funkin2.sol again and replaced it with Funkin1.sol inside the FunkinCrew folder, removed Funkin1.sol from the folder and left Funkin2.sol without renaming the file and none of those things worked and I don't know if by doing all that I already screwed up or there is still a chance to recover my progress.

Sorry for the boldness but is there a chance you could send me a short video as a mockup so I can do things correctly, honestly I'm a bit scared to work with such delicate files like that.

How many songs have you completed, and how big is the current file size of Funkin1.sol and Funkin2.sol?

I just tried to leave only Funkin1.sol in the folder and take Funkin2.sol out but when I open the game I get the same message I showed before in the screenshot and when I go back to the FunkinCrew folder another Funkin2.sol is generated.

I think your save file is corrupted then sadly. Have you completed any mod songs on that save file.

I honestly don't know, but let's assume so, is there anything else that can be done?

I know there is a way to edit the save file and just give yourself your ranks back, but I’m not entirely sure how to do it. I recommend looking into it though.
