Hello, I was wondering if the recently released XeSS 2.0 will get support for Unreal Engine with the new frame generation and low latency components?

Thanks.

@xessgamedev I'm assuming with Xess2 we should see the new tech such as AntiLag & Frame Generation? So, we should finally be able to ship UE games with the full upscaler suite?

Do you have a more definitive date for the major version update?

is it going to work on Mac? That platform does not have any solution yet and would greatly benefit from it

Sorry, no plan yet.

I hope they don't, Macs are not gaming machines, get real. If you're playing games, or developing them, go and get a real computer. Macs are just overpriced rubbish pieces to "show off". There's nothing they can objectively do well compared to a real machine. I'm happy to see the new trend of not developing Mac support

@xessgamedev Got the plugin in and working after a bit of fineagling with other upscalers, One thing I did notice is there does not appear to be linux support. Is this an intel thing or a plugin limitation?

Vulkan is supported, but Linux is not supported yet by XeSS SDK.

Figured as much, but wanted to check.

Couple of questions from things we have run into (XeSS 2.0.8):
We cant find anything in the plugin specifically related to Frame Rate Control of XeLL - I assume this is built into within the unreal FRC.
We cant find references to Sharpness for XeSS in the plugin.

  1. Not sure I understand correctly, there is a known issue of frame rate limit with XeLL in version 2.0.8, which is fixed in: https://github.com/GameTechDev/XeSSUnrealPlugin/releases/tag/v2.0.8.1
  2. As for sharpness for XeSS: sorry, there is no sharpness API of XeSS SDK or sharpness SDK inside this plugin. You may try some standalone sharpness solution.

Hiya,

UE 5.6 released pretty recently, was wondering if you had a rough idea of when we will get a 5.6 Plugin?

Regards

Working on it now, will be ready in several weeks.

By the way, Vulkan RHI will probably not be supported due to limitations of Unreal APIs.
