Lag and freeze with a high bit rate

Hello,

I have been using Scrcpy for a month now, and almost everything is working well!

My screen was often blurry and pixelated, so I augmented the bit rate... but then it became laggy and froze a lot.

At the default bit rate (8), it is very smooth, but because I am playing games or reading, it is too blurry and not nice.
At 16 it is better, with no particular lag or freeze, but not a smooth visual.
At 32 I have some freeze, but the quality is much better.
At 100 the quality is perfect, but I have a lot of freeze.

Is there any solution or reason for it?

By the way, this is the code I use to start scrcpy:

scrcpy.exe --video-bit-rate=16M --max-fps=60 --max-size 1920 --stay-awake --turn-screen-off --fullscreen

How is your CPU when it is laggy? (100%?)

If you record (record=file.mp4), when you play the recorded file, is it laggy?

Anyway, it is probably better to switch to H.265 (--video-codec=h265) than increasing the bit rate (you can do both though).

I am connected with USB (3.0, but it is an old cable, maybe a new one can change things?).

My CPU is fine, no significant change when it is laggy (I am always under 10%).

I recorded the screen: when scrcpy is freezing hard, I have to turn it off and start again. Then the recording stops at the moment scrcpy starts lagging. Turning off scrcpy and starting again solves it (my phone is still working fine during the scrcpy freeze as nothing is happening).

I switch to H.265 with default bit rate and it is still pixelated and blurry, but no freeze (as before with the default bit rate). With a 100MB bit rate, the quality is nice, but same freezes again.

The freeze can last up to 20s, which is very annoying. Again, during the freeze, my phone works fine and I can use it without any problem.

Maybe, but my computer is very powerful, so I don't think there is an issue on that part, but it can still be possible.

None... nothing happens in the console; scrcpy just freezes, and I have to close the console to resolve it.

When not "freezing hard" (just "freezing soft"), if you wait a bit, then does it recover after some time without restarting scrcpy? In that case, how is the recorded file? How is the "frozen part" of the capture in this file?
