when i open the localhost site on my android phone, it works with absolutely no problem

however when i try the same exact thing with my ipad, regardless of the browser i use it shows me nothing but a black screen

I suspect this may be related to wlroots-based compositors alone. This worked on KDE Plasma Fedora a while back, with the same machine and iPad.

I'm facing similar issues, I've tested on hardware and configurations beyond what I've listed above-- though, I have also noticed that on the binary releases, it works fine (meaning, video displays on the iPad for me, though the issue of the stylus no longer registering as being down that was fixed remains), so I believe it was a change since then. I've tried git bisecting to find the problem commit, but I'm unable to build earlier commits since the release, and the commit artifacts have also expired since then.

Also doesn't seem to work in a virtual machine running X11 Debian, but that could also be for other reasons. Also works absolutely perfectly on PC or android, as others have said.
