Starting Apps from the Springboard (usability)

Hi,
is there an opportunity to directly start apps out of the springboard in the future?
Let's say by start typing with a . the springboard gives suggestions which apps are installed.
e. g. typing
.ma
it lists:
"Mail"
"Maps"
clicking on the suggestion or writing out the app name and hit enter, opens directly the app.
Function is comparable with the @ for searching contacts

Hello,

I found the same "issue". Even though the current version should provide application starters as a possible search result in Springboard, if the setting is activated ("Zeige Apps zum Start" / perhaps "Show Apps to start" in English) no applications will appear in Springboard.

(My version: 12-20231128-STABLE-vidofnir)
