Search and Multi Select: When searching, UI does not respond for a long time if I have many select options(>3000)

I am using multi select and my UI does not respond when I search while having many options (like > 3000 options).

For example, I have 3000 options and when I try searching, it lags as I type in each letter for 5-10 seconds per letter.

Does anyone have a fix for this?
