You can still create public secrets in v7 but there is no way to view them like in v6 via the public pastes.

The public pastes is a feature that most likely will not be part of v7.

Yeah, exactly, that!

But I mean, it's kinda stupid that you can create a secret as "anonymous" when the option "Registered Users Only
Only registered users can create and read secrets" is OFF and nobody can ever find or see it, even the admin account.

For us the anonymous secrets with password was a primary reason to use Hemmelig, no hassle with logins, easy access to the content on another machine. That's sad that you removed the public paste overview.

Unfortunately I have to agree with @nalilord. That was the primary reason to use Hemmelig for me as well. The option that was present in v6 to prevent anonymous users from creating secrets but still being able to see them with the corresponding link + password/decryption key as anonymous was perfect.

I am looking for this functionality as well; let anonymous users read, but not create new secrets.

@bjarneo Could you spare some time to answer this question from @alexandrosbouzalas ? And are you willing to revert/provide the functionality again in a future version of Hemmelig?

Hey

It is a separation of the public secret feature, and to "lock down hemmelig" so the public can't create secrets, but read them.

Since many of you want the feature "let anonymous users read, but not create new secrets.", let us get this back into Hemmelig!
