While in Game Mode, selecting "Switch to Desktop" in the power menu leaves the system at SDDM. Possibly due to SDDM auto-login rules, as my testing system is set up to auto login to gamescope-session-steam, but not auto login again upon logout.

I vaguely remember something that seemed like it might be a solution in either the evlaV or ChimeraOS repos, but cannot find it as of writing this.
