Academic Thumbnail

I want to post my main blog URL to a LinkedIn profile and display custom thumbnail image. Currently, the image that shows up is the default icon.png image in assets/images/icon.png in the "themes" directory. I've tried adding a custom icon.png image to the blog assets/images/ directory, but this only changes the image shown in the internet browser tab.

Any help?
