Help me output the screen with Nvidia GPU

I just installed HyDE, I got to the login screen, when I clicked login the screen went black and unresponsive.
I think my Nvidia GT740 GPU is missing a driver because when I plug the VGA cable into the main port it works fine. I followed the instructions at https://github.com/korvahannu/arch-nvidia-drivers-installation-guide (Install package and enable DRM kernel mode setting - but it still doesn't fix it. How can I fix it?

your gpu is over 10 years old, try nouveau drivers
