Discussion on Composite Signatures

• In WGLC
• Authors believe all issues have been resolved and passing WGLC is the next step. Authors will ask for early assignment of IANA OIDs. At that point Composite Signatures can be implemented.

IETF 124 Hackathon Round Table Plans

• John plans to attend in person and will work on Composite Signatures testing and also submit updated artifacts for Entrust.
• Nicola - wont be able to attend in person and won't be able to be remote.
• Mike is planning to attend the hackathon but will abide his time between RATS and PQ. Will watch for PR's to merge, or PRs.
• JP Fiset - Going in person with 3 colleagues. Will work on supporting composite signatures.
  • Preparing to ship composite as soon as they have finalized OIDs
• Abel will attend the hackathon remotely. Will test with all the algorithms.
• Carl will be remote, he plans to do some work with Composite Signatures, and see what is going on with the KEMs
  • He may also look at some other odds and ends like external mu
• Petr Muzikant - Won't be able to attend the hackathon in person. Occupied on roadmaps and reports.
• Max Pala - Planning to attend remotely.
  • Max mentioned demonstration of PQC underway and customers are actually starting to deploy it in production sooner than expected. Still hoping to build some hybrid. Will plan to attend hackathon remotely.
• Julian won't be able to participate in the hackathon this time.
• Christoph Wildfeuer - Very interested in composites, also looking at hybrid modes in their satellite communications.

Question: Are the composites are outside of NIST competition? - In 2016 NIST made it clear they didn't want hybrids in the competition, but in SP-800-227 they say they are allowed, but there are no hybrid algorithms in the competition itself.

Outstanding Issues:
John went over the outstanding issues, and with groups agreement has cleaned up many of the github issues.
