Need for more guidelines for Slack

We've seen great growth in the InnerSource Commons Slack channel over the past two years. We are now close to 1500 active members on Slack - interestingly called out in one of our Marketing WG meetings as being a Dunbar number (the suggested number where we become a tribe, and/or can no longer recognise everyone in the group).

Coincidentally, it is the time when we experienced our first reported potential spam activity in the Slack channel. As a result, we have discussed the idea of coming up with more guidelines around participation in our Slack channel, which would complement our existing Code of Conduct.

This discussion is to gather thoughts, ideas and feedback on what we should put in there...

Hello everyone - quick reminder for old and new community members...
All interactions in InnerSource Commons, including everything in our Slack, are subject to our Code of Conduct.
Also, here are some guidelines specifically related to the InnerSource Commons Slack Channel.

Posting Content

• All content here in the Slack is under the Chatham House Rule here in to create a safe space for us all to discuss InnerSource challenges and opportunities.

Adding Members

• Please feel free to request access for your friends and colleagues. All requests will be reviewed and approved where appropriate by one of our Slack Admins.

Adding Channels

• We want to make sure that the InnerSource Commons Slack is a productive and easy-to-navigate experience. Therefore, we limit the creation of new channels. If you want to create a new channel to discuss specific topics, please contact an InnerSource Commons Member to propose the new channel (name and purpose). Any channel which hasn't been approved will be deleted. (edited)
