Any detailed performance measures?

Did anybody do thorough performance measurements on different media (NVMe/SSD/HDD drives, reading speed, and CPU overhead while decompressing? I'm not much interested in compression speed, it is generally done one time, or at least less frequently.

OK, I tested one of these on this HW:

• CPU: i7 8700K (stock/no-OC)
• SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB on PCIe v3 (thus, about 3500/3500 MB/s R/W)
• Data: Converted audio data, about 100GB uncompressed, X16 compressible to 10GB, X4 gives 15GB
• Task: Voice-AI training where the data is read many times into memory and moved to GPU.

Uncompressed: Data can be read 3500 MB/s, low CPU utilization
Compressed X16: Data can be read about 650 MB/s (18.6%), near-full CPU utilization

I'm not sure I'm getting any gain from it...
