Different icons for different scales

Sometimes you need to use different images for different scales as the interpolation algorithm sometimes isn't want you want. How easy would that be to add?

Not difficult.

You would need a command line flag to accept the images as file names.

From there you could likely just decode the image and use its size to figure out what os_type it corresponds to.

Then you can interpolate the remaining images based on the the closest size source image.
