ok so update, ive done further testing, using an and statement is a little more complex:

if trying to see if a string isn't a specific value, you have to use if stringVal ~= 'this value' then

if using an and statement which checks if 1 value is true and the other is false, "and not" will not work

3. The "else" is empty and you did it like 5 times, dude if it's empty don't literally just say "else end" just do "end"
4. Useful tip since you are stuck in the 2022s: just do "if [boolean] then" or "if not [boolean] then", not "if [boolean] == true then" or "if [boolean] == false then"
