how do i add custom characters #1415

ive been trying to add my character into the game, and it STILL DOESNT WORK. i tried it on phsyic engine, on this engine, and nothing works. itds driving me insane. i try to load the image but an errror appears AND IT WONT LET ME LOAD IT. i have the spritesheet ANd the xml file, i do not understand what is the problem. i already watched like 5 tutorials and none of them work im so sorry if this is a stupid question and its really simple to solve. ive never coded EVER. this is my first day |

are you putting it inside mods/(YOUR MOD)/images/characters? if so, make sure the engine's current selected mod is also (YOUR MOD) as that is necessary to find the character |

yes I am putting it in my images/characters folder of my mod, I load the mod directory to mine and it still doesn’t work. |

i see why, you have it in mods/modfolder/modfolder/images/characters when its supposed to be in just one modfolder location its supposed to look something like this: goober is the extra mod folder in your case. drag and drop ModTemplete into mods and it should work |
