wait so i just figured out that i did it correct but the json isn't working
i have no experience with json so can someone help like @JordanSantiagoYT or some one?

the engine makes the jsons for you when you press the nifty little save button, you just need to put the json it in the right location:
mods/[yourmod]/data/[songname]/
replace [yourmod] with your mod's folder and [songname] with your song's name in the songs folder of your mod

the folder name has to match with the name of the json. if it has spaces, you have to replace them with dashes.

example. if your folder is named "thearchybside" but the json is named "thearchy-b-side-hard" then the game will not read the json.
