How to switch to X11 session in Ubuntu 24.04:
Log out of your current desktop session (click your user name > Log Out).

On the login screen, click the gear icon (⚙️) in the bottom-right corner of the password field.

From the menu, select “Ubuntu on Xorg” or “GNOME on Xorg” (instead of “Ubuntu”, which uses Wayland by default).

Log in as usual.
