Perceived Problem
- Currently, there's quite a lot of different information that would be helpful for a user to be able to have at their fingertips that we don't have a great place to put, or at least not an obvious one
- The "My Feed" page acts as the sort of "home" of the dashboard, but this is in itself a core page with core app functionality and purpose, so using it also as a home space might risk making it feel cluttered and trying to make it serve too many purposes
Ideas / Proposed Solution(s)
- I'm considering adding an entirely new page to the dashboard which would be more of a proper "home" for the User's Journaly experience. This dashboard page could display all sorts of helpful information that might make the overall Journaly experience much more intuitive and easy to navigate
Examples
Some very helpful information we could display is:
- Your language info
- User's overall stats (# of posts written, thanks received, posts corrected, etc.)
- Posts you recently viewed and/or posts you recently commented on
- You current goal or streak
- Recent achievements or perhaps "Upcoming achievements" could be great!
- Posts from people you follow? Maybe show most recent 5 or something
Would love to discuss this and I can also create an initial wireframe to see if it's worth creating a higher fidelity mock up.
DESIGN!
Hereeeeee we go with a very quick and rough design but I think this shows all the core ideas 😄
