same issue for me (UltraNav & Elan TouchPad Laptop) |
Same issue here. I thought maybe it's because I don't have C++ 2010 Redistributable installed, but would be nice to hear from dev whether that's the case, especially since I'm not sure how secure such an old version would be (and if maybe a newer version would also have what's needed) and it doesn't specify whether it needs x86 or x64 (I assume whichever version of Windows you're using, but might be based on this app). Edit: I see the dev is the one that started this issue, so I guess that's not the problem, but rather Lenovo has screwed us by going with a different vendor who has removed the ability to use the middle button for multiple functions. |
Found another solution. As it says, you can use Marblescroll or w10wheel. Just go into the ELAN settings and set it to middle-click instead of scroll, then use one of those to add scroll functionality. I haven't tried Marblescroll, since that person says w10wheel is better, plus I like that it's open-source, and it seems to be working fine so far. One other change I made to it is to bump up the Accel Table from M5 to M7, since scrolling is too slow at the default. |
Hey guys, X Mouse Button Control works like a charm, it can even handle sticky middle mouse scroll and locks the axis.
