Tag renaming does not update or remove previous tag entries

What happened?

I'm experiencing a bug with Kavita's tag handling. Once a tag is created (e.g., Fullcolor), even if I later correct it to Full Color and delete the original, Kavita continues to retain and display the old version (Fullcolor). This applies both ways – e.g., trying to switch from Full Color to FullColor also fails.

What did you expect?

• Deleted the affected series

• Restarted the Kavita server

• Re-imported and rescanned the manga

• Cleared metadata and tags manually

Expected Behavior:

When I delete or change a tag and rescan/reimport the series, the outdated tag should be removed and replaced with the correct one.

Additional Notes:

This is especially problematic since tag names are now being enforced more strictly (e.g., spaces vs no-spaces), and there's no way to clean up legacy or incorrect tags from the UI.

Let me know if I can provide logs or further steps.

Tags are cleaned up at night, not instantly. The cleanup job runs at midnight, so check after that if you see the tag.

I think I misread the issue this morning. Let me look into this. It's likely around normalization on tags.

I will say this is similar to the issue I ran into with the mappings. Once a tag gets "normalized" there's no easy way to correct it
