BT, Shelly and Heat pump

Hello,
I have an underfloor water heating system and one Shelly 1 mini gen4 per electrically-actuated water valve (on/off, no modulation).
The temp/hum sensor is a sonoff zigbee, and everything is in z2m.

I am now in the process of implementing the logic in HA and I found out about BT and it seems good for me because it has some kind of adaptive hysteresis implemented, right?

Questions:

1. I own a heat pump, so the heating cycle should be long and not short-lived as the ones for TRV. How do I tell BT that "I'm using a heat pump, please do your magic with that in mind?"
2. any tips & tricks?
