Better Thermostat state out of sync with actual thermostat (Generic Thermostat)

Hi,
I'm having an issue where Better Thermostat seems to get out of sync with the actual thermostat it's supposed to control.

Here's what's happening:
Better Thermostat shows it's not heating (e.g. for the past 30 minutes), but the real thermostat (a Generic Thermostat) is still actively heating and doesn't turn off.

It also happens the other way around — Better Thermostat shows it's heating, but the real thermostat hasn't actually turned on.

So it looks like Better Thermostat's internal state doesn't always reflect what's really happening with the physical thermostat.

so until I manually changed the temperature in the generic thermostat, it heated.. And this happens with others thermostat as well, and vice versa too ( generic not heat, better heat)

Important notes:
The real thermostat is a Generic Thermostat entity.
Nothing else is controlling or interfering with it.
The Generic Thermostat works fine on its own — the issue only happens when Better Thermostat is used to control it.

Same happens here. What would also fix the issue is reloading the concerned Better Thermostat entity in home assistant. Maybe something is hibernating too much?

I'm refactoring the code at the moment, because yes I see some problems there.

Give me just some time to test it here in my house, so I know it works as it should.

@wtom Thanks mate, did the update and the TRV's seem to be responding now but I also get this error whenever I adjust the thermostat:

@wtom Sorry of course, this is what appears in the logs after I get that message. I can try to recreate the thermostats if you think that might be the issue?
