Test zips before merging

Currently, when zips are merged (i.e. multiple input files are given or a glob is given in serial processing) a broken zip file is ignored and the remaining files are merged. The prefered behaviour is to stop processing of this archive completely (in a series only this archive will be skipped) and throw an error.
