I am one of the contributors on the forum titled VGMRips (https://vgmrips.net/). It is focused on ripping and preserving music from various retro consoles by logging commands from their sound chips. One issue we've been facing, however, is the inaccurate GameBoy music chip emulation from MAME. Seeing how SameBoy's sound core appears to be much more accurate compared to MAME's, I, as well as many other contributors, would very much appreciate if VGM logging supported was added to the emulator. Or is such a feature something you'd rather have someone submit in the form of a PR?

I've requested this few years ago, I think the mane issue here is the only VGM player for MacOS doesn't support Gameboy. so I don't know if Liji has time to get wine working and get something that supports Winamp plugins.
