At low rates, libreqos CAN indeed run under a hypervisor. But which ones are important? What are the limits?

in vmare i use nic passthrough, but in proxmox im not able to do it neither make srvio to work

Your issue is probbably hw-individual. I use passthrough and it's working like a charm.

alot of editing required in proxmox while in vmware it just a button flip even without restarting hypervisor

In my case in Proxmox - it was only ADD -> PCI Device --> Select Device ... enter and do a VM restart.
Maybe You've got very old HW?

i dont think, as motherboard is gigabyte, processor is i9 12K

i came to know about tidalscale today

oh, tidalscale is nifty stuff, designed by dave reed (dear friend, originator of the e2e argument, creator of udp, etc) , to handle amazing workloads across multiple network connected computers. He told me it is total overkill for what we are doing with libreqos! (except that we should one day look into a FPGA version of fq_codel) He is always a good read, friend him on linked in.
