Detailed description of the problem

Hi,

On ubuntu 22.04 with php 8.2, i try to update from v4.9.3 (version from database : 040903) to the last 5.5.1.

First, i had to change the env from production to dev.

When i try to update via the web interface, i have this error :

Target [Illuminate\Database\Migrations\MigrationRepositoryInterface] is not instantiable while building [App\Console\Commands\MigrateFresh, Illuminate\Database\Migrations\Migrator]. 

Same if i try with the cli :

lychee@web01:/srv/sites/Lychee$ php8.2 artisan migrate

In Container.php line 1202:

For the diagnostics page, if don't log in before, it's ok but if i log in to migrate and then try to access to Diagnostics, i had this message :

upload_chunk_size does not exist in config!

Do i need to update a previous version before going to 5.5.1 ?

Hi guys,

ran into the same issue when updating from 5.4.
sadly i have no ssh access to my webserver, so running any shell tools is not an option.
replacing the whole /vendor folder did not do the trick for me :(

Just had the same issue migrating from 4.x to latest 6.2.0.
I can confirm that the lefover files from the old install not modified by the deployment of the install zip on top of the install folder are interfering. Removing them (cleaninng the folder completely, expanding the .zip and then moving back the .env file, the public/uploads/ and the public/dist/user.css) fixed the issue for me.

The "update" button was not working for me.

But now, I face this new issue :

You see a green tick, so no complaints... But I guess the wording is not that explicit.

Can you give me a screenshot of that screen for you ?

@stanelie What I am more worried about is that you are seeing that screen while doing an upgrade. That should not be the case.
Are you using sqlite database ?
Because then you also need to keep from the previous version the database/database.sqlite file as this contains all the mapping between the files-photos and your configuration.

Sorry, I don't have a screenshot anymore, but it was black text on white, like wwhen the CSS file fails to load, no green ticks or other color, very hard to decipher. I use mysql, so, no need to keep the sqlite database for me.
I was able to go through the uppgrade by first upgrading my php to 8.4.
