Hello @ishasinghrathore37 , welcome! I recommend working through the Quickstart tutorial in the userguide (see the GSOC blog post https://www.mdanalysis.org/2026/02/19/gsoc2026/), then have a look at the issue tracker. |

hi everyone
My name is Isha Singh Rathore , and I am very interested in contributing to MDAnalysis for Google Summer of Code 2026.
I have successfully forked the repository , set up the development environment locally , and started exploring the examples and documentation to understand the core structure of the project.
I am particularly interested in working on analysis- related improvements and would love guidance on beginner-friendly issues or areas where I can start contributing effectively.
I am comfortable with python and Numpy , and I am eager to learn more about MDAnalysis and molecular simulation workflows.
Looking forward to contributing and collaborating with the community.
Thank you!
