Archiving plants and dead plants event

Hi! I am interested in some way to archive plants, and to have an event called "died" or something similar. We all know that sometimes we try our best and plants might get a little too overwatered or infested with some kind of pest. I don't really want to delete my plants since I want to be able to refer back to them if I ever plant the same plant again, I would like to compare.
