please add Cython Syntax support

I use VScode. Sometimes Python will edit with C/C++ for extend/embed. But vscode-python do not support Cython. It is so unconvenient. Please add it.

  • VSCode Version: Code 1.18.1 (929bacba01ef658b873545e26034d1a8067445e9, 2017-11-16T18:32:36.023Z)

Cython grammar is sufficiently different from Python's, so this is not a small feature request. I'd say it's highly unlikely that we implement it anytime soon.

Sure. Take your time and plan.
Many guys work all free for open projects. What else can I grumble.

Looks like someone did it in the meantime, maybe it's good enough to get it back here by any chance?

It would reduce the need to install multiple extensions left and right

Well, Cython is very big superset of Python. We take pride in how well MagicPython parses Python. To that for Cython we'd need to invest significant time which we don't have right now. So sadly, I'd say it's unlikely we'll support Cython any time soon. :(
