The desire for a website grows along with the promotion of Magickbase. And establishing the brand of Magickbase is also one of the OKRs this year. So we may start the design of it.

IMO, the website would be a one-stop service for branding, documentation, and weekly reports.

  1. it should deliver our spirit vividly;
  2. it should be a portal for our products and community, especially for downloading Neuron, navigating to explorers, and displaying service status;
  3. it should fetch and update documents from our projects automatically;
  4. it should generate weekly reports(updates in our project kanban) and support RSS for subscription.

The description of Magickbase used before

The vision of Magickbase is to lead more developers/builders into the CKB ecosystem smoothly, and we are currently working on infra-service support and developer experience optimization. As Magi, we try our best to provide knowledge maps and decision-making advice to participants; as Base, we will provide the community with progressively richer essential data services and application support.

The engineers behind Magickbase have built various products such as Neuron Wallet, CKB Explorer, Godwoken Explorer, Force Bridge, Lumos Service etc. We are now developing an application development framework for CKB, a browser extension wallet and community governance tools among others.

These webpages are cool, and most of them adopt F-shaped webpage layout and borderless panoramic design, which brings users a good sense of immersion and facilitates brand narrative.This also applies to the construction of the magickbase website to meet the needs of deliver our spirit.

Are there any promotional materials related to magickbase to help us design website?

Unfortunately, we have to build it from scratch, including text and media.

The structure of the website would be

  1. Home page

    • Slogan: Building a Permissionless Future
    • Description: Magickbase is a thriving company that's helping to lead the charge in the decentralized revolution. We're proud of the products we've built, the communities we've supported, and the impact we've made on the world. Also, we know that there's still a lot of work to do, and we're excited to keep pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the years to come.
  2. About us page

    • Our story:
      Magickbase was founded with a simple but powerful vision: to support permissionless blockchains and to express the importance of non-permission to the community. From the beginning, we knew that the success of the decentralized revolution depended on making it accessible to everyone, and we set out to build the tools and infrastructure needed to make this a reality.
      Over the years, we've built a suite of powerful products that make it easier than ever for developers to build on the Nervos Network. Our desktop wallet, Neuron, has become a go-to solution for seasoned investors and developers alike. Our development frameworks, including CKB Explorer, Godwoken Explorer, Axon Explorer, Lumos, and Nexus, provide developers with the tools they need to build high-performance decentralized applications.
      But our success isn't just about the products we've built. It's also about the culture we've created. At Magickbase, we believe in the power of community, collaboration, and inclusivity. We're a team of passionate developers who are committed to making a difference in the world, and we're always looking for ways to learn from each other and grow together.
      As we look to the future, we're excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. We know that the decentralized revolution is just beginning, and we're committed to playing a key role in shaping its direction. With a focus on openness, transparency, and innovation, we believe that we can build a brighter, more decentralized future for everyone.
  3. Products page
    The following pages should be separate and provide detailed information about itself, including its features, benefits, and usecases, better to show with a demo or video that showcases its capabilities.

    1. Neuron page

      • Slogan: Securely Manage Your CKB Assets with Ease
      • Description: Neuron is a powerful desktop wallet designed specifically for the Nervos CKB blockchain, allowing users to securely store and manage their CKB assets, participate in Nervos Network governance, and create and manage CKB standard or lock scripts. For point 4

it should generate weekly reports(updates in our project kanban) and support RSS for subscription.

A similar example can be found at https://linear.app/changelog

The weekly reports were expected to be generated automatically from the updates of Kanban, so the updates of each issue should be described in detail, but it is a huge demand for the maintainers who make the issues very sketchy.

I have two suggestions for @Magickbase/pm to make the workflow a bit easier or more flexible.

  1. Revise the problem and solution after the issue is done, and the revised content will be used in the auto-generated report
  2. Add standalone issues as weekly reports and only the summary issues are synced on the website.

Perhaps we could follow the same record as Neuron Wallet does when it releases a new version, and just provide the issue number and title, which users can click through based on interest.Here we can categorize the modules as New, In Progress, and Done, and only provide issues that have been updated in the last week.

[New] Issue labeled new and added last week
[In Progress]Labeled as planning, designing, in progress, code review and testing, and updated in the last week.
[Done]Currently labeled as pre released and done and with updates from last week.
