Using playlists with CLI version

I have many foreign characters in my song paths, but m3u8 playlists can't be dragged and dropped in GUI version 1.7.0 (m3u playlists work fine). I was hoping to try and load one into the CLI version as a quick fix, but I can't see an argument in the GUI config section for doing so (only a 'path' argument). Is loading (m3u8) playlists possible in the CLI version?

Yes, the path can be a playlist in the CLI version. Both m3u and m3u8 should be supported fine, the GUI DnD most likely just dismissed it due to content type or something. Have you tried using the latest actions build? Thank you

I don't have the various dependencies set up to be able to compile so I haven't tried the latest build, but I did get the same outcome with both 1.7.0 and 1.6.0 releases that I tried with.

A test m3u8 playlist with a single mp3 track gives the same result unfortunately: nothing is loaded when dragged and dropped.

You don't have to compile the latest build, you can download the binary from the Actions tab on GitHub (on top)
