Callouts having limited span for the content

I'm on 7.5 and trying to use a short callout. Here's my markdown:

Looks like the callouts are tied to a page site WIDTH value of 80rem. I changed mine to 90 in custom-header.html and that causes the spanning issue you see above.

Why the callout is tied to a set WIDTH of 80rem is another question!

Then it's either a browser issue (very unlikely), an issue with a non-release theme version (I've tested with 7.5.0 and 7.6.0 to no avail) or a modification on your side.

Without a link to your repo, I can not help you any further but you could check yourself with the browser dev tools what is interfering with the width.
