Deals stream is failing

I'm using the meltano variant of tap-hubspot for its schema-flattening capabitilies.

Since March 11th, I'm getting an error when replicating the deals stream:

[2025-03-11, 00:05:57 UTC] {docker.py:438} INFO - requests.exceptions.HTTPError: 403 Client Error: Forbidden for url: https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/properties/emails

This is not happening with the stitch/singer variant, so I assume the error is coming from here.

Hi @CrossNox!

The deals stream implementation hasn't changed recently, so I think something might've changed upstream in Hubspot. Perhaps they updated their access token scopes?

I agree, this seems like an upstream issue. I've tried setting every permission and still it fails.

Could debug logs help pinpoint the issue?

@CrossNox If you're using Meltano, can you update your pip_url in meltano.yml to point to #114, i.e.

pip_url: meltano-tap-hubspot @ git+https://github.com/MeltanoLabs/tap-hubspot.git@refs/pull/114/head

Otherwise, try install that reference.

That version should show the response content when the request fails, which should give you useful information.

@yegortokmakov That's a different stream. Can you install the latest and report back? The error should have a bit more detail.

you are right, our issue is not related! sorry for hijacking this issue. My assumption is the goal's endpoint is available only on paid plans and one of our HubSpot instances is on the free plan. Hence the 403 Forbidden error code. Please let me know if you want me to open a separate ticket, for now I just forked and commented out the GoalStream as we don't need it (diff)

that makes me think, users can simply excluding the stream using the catalog¹² and there's nothing to do here.
