Supportability of Azure CNI and Public CIDR ranges #263

@MaxMelcher

Description

@MaxMelcher

The statement created a lot of confusion for one of my customer:

The private CIDR ranges available for the Pod CIDR are defined in RFC 1918. While we don't block the use of public IP ranges, they are considered out of Microsoft's support scope. We recommend using private IP ranges for pod CIDR.

Source

My customer understood that clusters using public CIDRs are not supported in general.

Can you please clarify that the cluster is supported but if the public CIDR is e.g. used by a different internet service with the same CIDR it could cause issues that cannot be resolved by Microsoft.

Thanks!
