Only .mesh files can be uesd as input?

I am wondering if only. mesh files can be used as input parameters, and if MMG supports other grid format files?

Hello,

VTK mesh file formats (provided that mmg is compiled with a link to the VTK library) and GMSH format may be used as input and output files.

I had a hard time figuring out that STL is not supported, because the error message says "file not found" and not "file not supported":

$ ./mmgs_O3 demo.stl

using meshio convert demo.stl demo.mesh does the trick though!
