creating a post -> image upload or save issue

the controller for handling image upload seems to have a problem

in app\Http\Controllers\PostController.php
line: 'image' => $request->image,

    $request->user()->posts()->create([
        'title' => $request->title,
        'description' => $request->description,
        'image' => $request->image,
        'user_id' => auth()->user()->id,
    ]);

why is the image input treated as normal input field. so i failed to create a post as image is a required
