Birthday notification?

When I register to a Forum I would like to receive an alert for my birthday, to know that the Forum remembers about it. I'll look into adding it to Plugins Alerts Pack.

Oh dear, that would become way too heavy for the server. Imagine even in medium boards with 2k-5k members: one/two users celebrate birthday every day, so every day it would send 2k-5k alerts multiplied per every celebrated user.

I agree it would have been useful IF MyBB had been shipped with friendships DONE RIGHT, but the actual buddy list it's too nasty and therefore this won't happen until someone will build a powerful friendship system to replace the core one.

Sounds like a nice idea actually. Could be ran via a task running at midnight every day. I'll look into adding this at some point.

MyBot has something like this already. It can either create a thread or send a pm to the one who has birthday. And JonesCore has a build-in bridge to MyAlerts so it'd make it easy to trigger an alert too as soon as MyBot supports JonesCore

Why send a pm when we have myalerts notification system ;)
