nutrient balance errors during global historical transient runs #1451

Describe the issue

I ran into a couple instances of nutrient balance errors during global historical transient simulations. For the experiments I was doing, I had supplemental N and P active, and so therefore didn't really care about the nutrient cycles. But the outputs suggest that we aren't handling one or more nutrient fluxes correctly. These errors only occurred during the run with transient landuse, so that might suggest one of the land-use-related nutrient fluxes (grazing, logging, etc) is the culprit. And both cases look to be rangeland-dominated, again pointing to grazing as a potential issue.
