How does GEOPHIRES account for far field conduction?

One think I have never really grasped is how you account for the far field conduction to the area of interest in Geophires. I like reservoir model 1 (basically Gringarten 1975) but its basic assumption is an island of rock with a volume of XxYxZ related to the fractures you create. It does not (so far as I can see) allow for conduction from outside the fracture zone to resupply heat.

considering the reservoir model 1 again: if you could place four identical cuboids around the injector, it should give you a good approximation to drilling and fraccing an injector and placing production laterals at “N,E,S,W” vertices. This does not require far-field modelling but maybe a good solution for extracting the maximum heat from the frackable radius around an injector.
