Pixi environment problems

I am running into problems getting the geospatial libraries for the network builder to install properly. Something with pandas and pytz. I can import pytz just fine. Not sure exactly what pandas is doing.

The pixi files are in the branch create_network_creation_script. I have also dropped a environment.yml file in the resouces/network folder. The network builder also resides in the folder. All the required files should be in that folder to make it work. Run NetworkBuilder.py in the resources network folder.

I think I may have found our problem, but I will know more later on this morning. There are several GDAL environment variables that don't exist in the pixi environment that do exist in the conda environment. I'm not worried about the conda variables, but I am worried abut the GDAL, GEOTIFF, and PROJ variables. I'll get those set at the top of the network builder script to see how things go.

@calbaker Can you pull commit fe8264a and try running it on your computer? Might need to rebuild the pixi environment from my lock file.

Can you all pull commit c697df4 and run the NetworkBuilder.py script in the pixi environment. NetworkBuilder is located in the python/altrios folder.

Prior to running it. Make sure you rebuild the pixi environment with the lock file I created. The biggest change is the downgrade in the seamless-3dep package from 0.3.1 to 0.2.0. I am not sure what the difference is, but it seems to fix things.

After running the script, check the following.

1.Ttwo folders were created in the elevations folder. The Jackson folder should contain 170 tiffs. The Barstow folder should have 48 files.
2. Verify yaml files were created and that the lat/lon points have values. (not nan or inf)
3. Verify that the Locations.csv file was created for each network as well.
