  • Minimalist usable by analysts. Be able to run a simple demonstration on finding an optimal path using Python with minimal changes to the current procedures, i.e. it must be extremely intuitive for anyone already running these analysis with the legacy package.

  • # Validate results with status quo We don't need to be fast at this point, but we must be correct. On top of unit-tests, some integration tests to match current pure Python package. This is the most important blocker for the Python MVP demonstration. Don't be afraid of delaying the demonstration here. If in doubt, add the requirements to be confident. We must get the correct solution, so we should take our time in this step.

  • # Demonstration Minimum requirements to show to a Python user. We must: - Guarantee correctness. - Be able to run on Kestrel as well as on a regular laptop. Leave improvements and optimizations for later. We want real world usage early (fail early, fail often) and identify missed issues before we commit in optimizing decision.
