Documentation for decompiler development

I'm not sure if I missed something, but I really can't find anything about how to do development related to decompiler c++ code, especially how to debug using debugger. I dug a little and saw a console implemented, but have no idea how to use that. It keeps complaining about missing image loading. So how do I do that exactly? Or is there any documentation about that?
