Describe the bug
Could be it's not a bug, but a limiting factor of 'gaming mode' of the Steam Deck. However, I use ProtonTricks to run it. and it works in Desktop mode just fine, but it does not work in Gaming mode, which means that if i wish to use this. I have to shut down the game each time, switch to desktop mode, edit my inventory, switch back to gaming mode, boot game and continue. Way to many steps on a SDeck.
To Reproduce
First, have a valid savegame (Should be obvious)
Use Protontricks to run the Exe, add to steam as non-steam program.
Fire up gaming mode and you'll see that it cannot see any save games, but in Desktop mode, it does so fine.
Not sure what is going on, other then it might try run the the editor in a 'sandbox' environment. Or it could be that the editor is opened in Steam's browser
(Upload a .zip file containing both after saving and before saving with the editor -
No point to doing this.)
Expected behavior
That it can see the SGs and allow me to edit them. Shame it opens a new window instead of a new tab too.
Please also add the following Information:
Used version of the save game editor
v1.24.css-fix
If you are using the Windows version or the python version
Windows version i believe, it\s Steam Deck, sooo... not sure?
If you have a problem in the editor without anything being shown in the python console, please add your version of Chrome
Not sure, sorry, not that tech savvy...
Additional context
If only there was an easier way to edit item stack count on Steam Deck...
If only it would open Options and\or edit windows in a new tab, not a new window. Steam Deck don't like the fixed window sizes because the screen is already less than 1080p... it's 720p

If you are running it on Linux, it would probably better to use the Python version instead of the .exe file. I do not know protontricks, but it seems it is most commonly distributed as a flatpack, which will have sandboxing then. Even if the program does not automatically detect the save file path correctly, you should be able to manually enter the correct folder containing the save files. If the sandbox cannot access this, then the program won't work.
Considering the window and tabs that is just the way it works, as it was intended to run like an application, and not like a browser. Although I do understand your use case.
It is no problem at all, that it is running in the Steam browser. If you do not like the multiple windows, you could write down the URLs it is opening (they do not depend on any state outside the URL) and open them in new tabs, ignoring the buttons you have for loading the save files. This should work without any problem, as the saveslot index is stored in the URL which is loaded, and that should not change unless you delete saves.
What python file do i need to boot up? Cause i don't see it... Do i need to download a different version?
EDIT: I have no idea of how to even get Python 3.x for Steam Deck. Google is not awfully helpful.
The OS is not exactly Linux. At least not according to what i can discern.
Pyzo was my test, but it needs some kind of TKint or what ever, not sure how to even get that for my Deck and pyzo.
Found out the game runs... 'okay' in Desktop mode, so i guess that is the next best option ...
