We have gotten many requests to add the ability to choose where UpdateHub installs and what users to install for. This can be done via the assisted installer, which looks like this:
Looks and sounds like a great idea! But unfortunately making this change isn't just changing the build options and then done. UpdateHub was designed to use one path, which is used throughout the code. It's more complex and requires multiple modifications to the code, something I don't want to do unless I am absolutely sure that people want this feature and that I am doing it right (seen in the image above). Answer the poll below to help us choose what's best for our users. One-click installer requires zero user interaction and uses a default setting, which is the right one most of the time. Assisted installer requires user interaction but allows you to change some settings, like the install path.
